Access is secured through an authentication process on the website www.opendoctor.it, which provides individual passwords exclusively to authorized professionals.

Within the app, users can navigate to the "Active Principles" section via the tab bar, where an alphabetized list of pharmacological active ingredients is available. For each active principle, a concise overview is provided, covering indications, contraindications, recommended dosages, and potential interactions. The "Formulations" section presents a list of pharmaceutical companies that market drugs containing the selected active ingredient. These medications are displayed under their commercial names, with details such as packaging options, drug class, and price.

The tab bar also includes an alphabetical index of commercial names and provides access to current notes and updates from AIFA (Italian Medicines Agency), allowing for comprehensive reference and updated information for healthcare professionals.
